Product Details
- Chain coverage: listed for #420, #428 and #530 single-row roller chains. Pitch: 420/428 = 12.7mm, 530 = 15.875mm; roller OD approx. 420 7.7mm, 428 7.85mm, 530 9.5mm — select the correct push pin per chain.
- Controlled screw drive: rotating feed screw pushes the chain pin out steadily; safer than hammering, suitable for workshop and roadside use.
- Replaceable heat-treated pin: hardened push pin reduces wear; supply spare pins by diameter for different chain sizes (exact diameters confirmed per sample).
- Slot positioning: chain sits in an adjustable/notched seat and is locked before pressing, keeping the punch centered on the pin head and reducing side-plate damage.
- For single-row drive chains: motorcycles, tricycles, pit bikes, ATVs, go-karts and small power equipment within the stated chain sizes. Not a default tool for timing chains, multi-row or non-roller chains.

Instructions
- Identify chain size from marking or measure pitch.
- Fit the correct push pin, place the link in the slot, align punch with pin head.
- Lock the locator, turn the feed screw slowly until the pin head exits one side plate.
- For thick 530 plates, lightly dress the rivet head before pressing to reduce pin load.
- Rejoin with the correct master link/rivet set specified by the chain manufacturer.
