Product Details
- What it does：Instantly shows presence of voltage — bright bulb lights up when the probe touches a live circuit and the clip is attached to ground. No battery required.
- Voltage coverage：6V for vintage/6V-negative-ground vehicles; 12V for passenger cars, SUVs, light trucks and motorcycles; 24V for heavy-duty trucks, buses, construction and agricultural equipment.
- How to use：Clip the black lead to a known good ground (battery negative or clean chassis); touch the probe to the test point; a lit bulb = voltage present; no light = open circuit or no power.
- Build quality：Solid brass probe, insulated handle, flexible silicone/PVC lead, replaceable bulb (if supplier confirms).
- Limitations：Maximum rated voltage 24V DC. Not for 48V mild-hybrid systems, EV/hybrid high-voltage traction circuits, or circuits above 24V. Do not use on SRS/airbag initiator circuits, CAN/LIN data lines or any control module signal wire where excess load current could damage the ECU. Use a high-impedance digital multimeter for such circuits.
